Boston Dynamics has dressed their amazing robot dog in a furry costume in their latest version 😆 While discussions about robots replacing humans are still ongoing, now we might have to worry about the future of our dogs too 🤦🏻♂️

Can AI determine your political preference just by looking at a photo of your face? According to a study published in the American Psychologist journal, it’s possible. What features do you think give us away? 😊

A robot dog that shoots flames from its back is now for sale 😱 In my talks, I often say not to fear robots or AI, but to fear those who misuse these technologies. Why would anyone sell or buy a flame-throwing robot? 😳

Here’s a tech tip for you :) Want to quickly find a book in a library using your iPhone? First, take a photo of the bookshelves. Then, go to the Photos app on your iPhone and type the name of the book you’re looking for. The text search feature will scan all the text in the photos and show you the ones that contain the word you’re looking for. This feature not only helps with books but also with finding any text among thousands of photos.

A mistaken click led to an accidental divorce! Lawyers at a major London law firm ended a 21-year happy marriage by pressing the wrong button on a computer. Although the lawyers realized the mistake and informed the judge, the judge ruled that once the divorce process has occurred, it cannot be undone. A lesson for those wary of AI automation: the real danger lies more in human errors than in AI itself. 😉

Is X (formerly known as Twitter) going to be paid? There are reports that a small annual fee will be charged to share posts on this social media platform, and new users will have to wait three months to make their first post. Elon Musk shared a response saying this is the only way to block fake bots. Previously, WhatsApp’s attempt to charge users $1 annually failed. Will Elon Musk successfully implement this strategy on the X platform?

We used to frequently hear the offer, "Shall we meet up for coffee and chat?" but now it's been replaced by "Shall we chat on WhatsApp?" or "Shall we meet on a video call?" A new social media platform, Airchat, aims to differentiate itself by allowing voice posts instead of written ones. The founders believe communication through voice is more natural and powerful. This might be true, but the real issue is the importance of face-to-face communication. No matter how advanced technology gets, it’s hard to match the power of in-person interaction. Don’t you think meeting face-to-face is important for more valuable communication?

Tesla owners are getting into the taxi business :) The Robotaxi service, which Elon Musk has been talking about for a while and which I frequently mention in my presentations, seems to be starting on August 8. With this service, you can turn your self-driving, fully autonomous Tesla vehicle into an autonomous taxi when you're not using it, earning money by just pressing a button on your phone. Your car can work as a taxi on its own and make money for you :)

Who here uses Tinder or a similar dating app? No need to raise your hand; you can protect your privacy 😄 Typically, companies aim to increase the number of active users and ensure continuous usage for their apps. Match Group, the creator of Tinder, has set a goal for users to quickly find the partner they’re looking for, delete the app, and share their experience with friends. Do you find this goal credible? Are these apps designed to build lasting relationships, or do they encourage continuous usage?

Why is it so hard to say "no"? Or to hear it? It's impossible to do everything and be everywhere. Success lies in setting the right priorities and saying "no" to many things. Steve Jobs supported this idea by saying, "Innovation is about saying no to thousands of things." Saying "no" to many things and focusing on priorities is key to peace not just in professional life but also in personal life, isn’t it?

AI can now easily clone our voices 😱 OpenAI has announced "Voice Engine" technology, which can create a digital copy of your voice from just a 15-second recording and read any text in your voice. This technology can enable innovative applications in education, entertainment, customer service, and audiobooks, but it also poses significant risks. Fortunately, OpenAI has stated that they do not plan to make this powerful tool available to the public soon due to the risks of fake content. However, the genie is out of the bottle, and it's questionable how long this and similar technologies can be kept behind the scenes. We are stepping into a new era that will further challenge our perception of reality.

Just as we were getting used to the astonishing developments in Generative AI, now Emotional AI is on the way? Some software that can detect human emotions from tone of voice and facial expressions, which I often mention in my presentations, already exist. But it seems the boundaries of AI capabilities are expanding. A new startup founded by a former Google DeepMind employee has developed software that can recognize over fifty human emotions through voice analysis. This is just the beginning. How long do you think it will take for software to emerge that understands us better than we understand ourselves?
