Artificial intelligence suggested gluing cheese to pizza with adhesive and eating a stone every day 😱 Due to such errors and occasionally dangerous responses from AI-powered answers, Google has taken a step back in integrating AI into search results until the issue is resolved. During the development process of AI, and even afterwards, we will continue to hear or experience such stories. AI has become an indispensable technology that provides great convenience in our daily lives. Be sure to learn, use, and benefit from it, but don't believe everything it says 😄

Will artificial intelligence take your job? This is one of the most frequently asked questions. My long-standing view is that it's not artificial intelligence that will take your job, but those who use artificial intelligence better than you. Recently, the CEO of Netflix made a similar comment about writers, actors, and directors. However, if you carefully read both my articles and his statement, you'll notice a crucial word: "for now." 😱

An era comes to an end. ICQ, the iconic chat platform of its time, is saying goodbye to its fans on its 28th anniversary on June 26th. ICQ was a companion for many online chats, friendships, and relationships of its era. Even in the fast-evolving tech world, it's hard to forget ICQ. By the way, did you know that ICQ stands for "I Seek You"? :)

Tension between Scarlett Johansson and OpenAI! Scarlett Johansson has sent a warning to OpenAI through her lawyers, claiming that the voice used in ChatGPT, named "Sky," sounds very much like her own. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman responded, stating that there was no such intention, but they will stop using that voice in ChatGPT nonetheless.

World Bee Day exists to remind us of the importance of bees for our ecosystem and our lives. Instead of technology trend news as usual, I found it more important to share this with you today. "Sustainability" should go beyond being a slogan and become a part of our daily lives.

The AI battle continues at full speed. Following the announcement of OpenAI's ChatGPT-4o, Google has also announced its Gemini Live version. These AI solutions can chat with you as smoothly as a real human, add emotions to their voice, translate instantly, and analyze and comment on any content they see from your camera, whether it's text, images, or videos. It's not clear yet who will win this race, but it is certain that OpenAI and Google are widening the gap with their competitors in this field.

OpenAI introduces the new Chat GPT-4o version. In summary, it's faster, but more importantly, it's much more "human-like." We are rapidly approaching AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), the level of AI that is smarter and more capable than humans.

What happened to Society 5.0? When the concept of Society 5.0 was introduced, it envisioned a human-centric, hyper-connected society empowered by AI and digital transformation. It was aiming to create a world where technology and humans live in harmony, combining economic progress with social well-being. However, today the question arises: was the promise of Society 5.0 truly embraced, or are we being dragged into a technology-dominated world? Are we using technology to empower humanity, or are we losing the human-centered vision? Is the digital world promoting equality, or deepening social divides? Would you want a device implanted in your brain? Especially if the person on the other end of the device who monitors all your brain activities is Elon Musk 😱 Dr. Benjamin Rapoport, one of the co-founders of Neuralink, ended his relationship with the company due to the risks associated with brain surgery required by the technology. He is now working on a device that operates externally, without the need for surgery. Whether with or without surgery, when these technologies turn people into cyborgs, will we be healthier and happier, or will we become more susceptible to manipulation by organizations we entrust with our mental and physical data? The benefits these innovations bring to healthcare are undeniable, but data privacy issues must be resolved.

Google bans advertising services for platforms using deepfake technology to create porn videos. It’s hard not to question how it was previously allowed to advertise such deepfake content 🤦🏻♂️ These services can create fake porn videos using individuals' faces. However, the risks created by deepfake technology extend beyond pornography; any type of fake deepfake content poses serious threats, from security to misinformation and violations of personal rights. Therefore, deepfake stands out as one of the most feared technologies that needs to be highly regulated.

Are AI companies at risk? I try to closely follow new AI startups and solutions. While some offer truly innovative and impressive solutions, others either fail to go beyond a poor imitation or do not fully deliver on their claims of being an AI solution. According to PitchBook's investment tracking data, $330 billion has been invested in 26,000 AI startups over the past three years. Not all of these startups are expected to survive. Don't get carried away with AI investments; carefully analyze the solutions you integrate into your company.

This ranking is based on promotion rates, skill development, and other career growth criteria within each company. Layoffs continue at Tesla. Two weeks ago, Elon Musk laid off 14,000 people, and according to a Bloomberg report, this number could exceed 20,000, which would mean 20% of the workforce. This development will further fuel recent debates about the future of electric vehicles.
